What does “success” mean to you?
I am doing a project for my gifted seminar class based on “success” and what makes an individual well-rounded or successful. Basically, I want to gather the opinions of others, and then create one of my own. Please answer the following questions. Answers may be as long or in-depth as you wish to make them. Skipping questions is perfectly fine if you don’t have an answer to them. Thank you! :)
1. What does “success” mean to you? (no dictionary definitions please!)
2. What qualities must a well-rounded individual possess?
3. Do you have a role model? If so, who?
4. Do you consider yourself successful? Why or why not?
5. What is your favorite inspirational quote?
6. If you could offer advice to ANYONE about ANYTHING, what would that be?
1) To me “Success” means reaching your own personal goals. It is about having a dream or a plan and then achieving it.
2) A well-rounded individual to me is someone who is compassionate, smart, sensitive, trustworthy, loyal and happy.
3) My role model is my Mother, because she has been through a lot and she has maintained her ability to have a great sense of humour, be generous to others and love endlessly.
4) In some ways I consider myself successful, in that I am a Mother and have so far successfully raised my son to be a great little boy. overall though I do not think I have achieved the level of personal success I wish for.
5) “Even the roughest waters cleanse” this is from a song and I love it. It reminds me that when we go through tough times, there are things we can learn from it.
6) My advise to people would be to be true to yourself. It is your life to live and you will either reap the rewards or the failures of it, and so make sure you make your own decisions and don’t let others make them for you.
Good Luck on your project
