How do you configure a hub to share a printer on a network? I have not had any success?
The computers on the network use novell client.The hub is a basic netgear hub with 8 ethernet jacks. The computers are using XP. I put the printer network ip and the same port. It is raw. and I think that is all you need to know.
The printer already has an ip configured and the printer did work when it was connected directly to the Ethernet jacks at each user’s computer( walls of a corporate building. I just need help on how to connect everyone through the hub if that is even possible. Thank you for your help. It is a Unisys 136 printer
If the printer has a card for network connection, you need to put the IP address into the printer to program the card. You also need to load the network printer drivers on the PC and set up the route. Depending on printer, you may need a crossover cable to connect it to the hub.
